worst I ever got was a pustule or smallish cyst under the skin

I'm amazed at how much spiders get a bad rap in general. I've seen these on a top 10 most venomous along side lactrodectus, loxosceles and poecis.

It's easy for people to believe in something they want to believe in, no mater how absurd it is.

This is true. Not just with spiders but all urban myths. I had friend tell me about the size of the camel spiders "his buddy saw" in Iraq. 3 feet long. Runs 30 mph. And been know to live inside dead camels. Ugh. Saw this the other day on Facebook. http://www.snopes.com/horrors/insects/telamonia.asp

Sorry about hijacking the topic but this infuriates me how gullible people are.
