Xenesthis intermedia Grooming

I received my intermedia on 8/16/2023 at 1.5 inches. It was always reclusive only coming out late at night when no lights were on. It would only venture about 1 to 2 inches from the burrow entrance.

Recently it has emerged from it's burrow now 4 to 4.5 inches. They have the potential to reach 9 inches. It now stays out all the time. It is also quite active. I thought it could be a mature male. Eboli on the pedipalps are absent, not a MM.

Caught it today grooming itself and was amazed at the size of it's fangs for it's current size. You can briefly see the fangs while it's grooming.

I hope the video works. I compressed the video so hopefully it works now.

It doesn’t work on my phone but might for others. I wonder what odds of male are with such huge fangs , next molt should be big enough to identify gender.

I have a female in pre-molt but I’m curious now because I don’t think I’ve ever got a decent look at her fangs! She’s quite reclusive and digs. She needs a molt because I bought her from a show and she was so annoyed about being for sale (or the fact she was in Coventry) she’d kicked all her hairs off. I’ll definitely check her fangs when she does.

yeah I see I got two I’m waiting on molts from also. A 3 inch one and a 4”-5” one.

Well this sucks, I was able to compress it down to 400 something kbs. It's an MP4 file I will try to convert it to a different file type.

Update: I re-compressed the original MP4 file. Older phones still might not be able to open the file type. Only a couple of video files are allowed on AB, MP4 being one of them. Lose video quality due to compression. Also I realized I had to hit "Insert' after attaching the file so I own that one I do apologize.
