Found in Cyprus (Mediterranean sea) by the salt lake


Btw it was silver and the yellow a bit deeper and it was about 6cm long

It is Argiope bruennichi or Argiope trifasciata

i checked the spider u suggested and they do look very much a like but still something doesnt click about them any other opinions?
Argiope trifasciata looked very much like it but im not sure:/

I agree with bastian.. i think that pattern and shape of abdomen is similar to A. trifasciata..

why do you say no to A. trifasciata John Apple? thats the closest I can tell it is.

In trifasciata the bands are not as seperate and the abdomen in trifasciata is smoother even in skinny females
