My 2" versicolor spiderling has been refusing food since it molted about 3 weeks ago. I've tried feeding it small mealworms, crickets, cricket legs and other assorted pieces, and small moths, but it runs from every potential food item. It seems healthy otherwise, but it's abdomen is starting to become thin. I've seen it drink a few times, but nothing else. Do any of you have suggestions? Thanks in advance, I'm hoping this is just a phase.

youre doing all thats proper! keep the humidity up and keep it on the warmer end, give some air flow, and just keep trying -- try mixing it up -- i have one rose-hair that forsakes everything for moths/butterflies... occasionaly a cricket, but dont worry!

good luck, dont start worrying just yet :) remember, 3 weeks in T time is like a day in human time...

Well, one suggestion, though some people may think its kind of gross..i have a small a. metallica that was being very finicky. I tried just about everything. So as a last resort, i took one of the spikes and kind of squished it with my thumb nail in various places, enough so that it was still alive but some "juice" was coming out. What do you know, the sling loved it! I wont say it WILL work but its certainly worth a shot.

All T's are different when it comes to how long they wait to eat after a molt. The older they get, the longer it takes them to recover from a molt. The molt process is very stressful on them and they may not eat for weeks or months. You are doing the right thing by keeping food avaiable for it. When it's ready, it will eat. Good luck:)
