wolf ID?

Looking to ID these. The typical carolinensis around here is very light colored with golden-brown chelicerae, pretty consistent in those characteristics. Are these simply a very dark version? Wolfs are a spider I kind of ingored over the years, I'm only familiar with a few species.

this genus of hogna sp have the largest specimen on record

wooo, thanks for they try. I found another one yesterday.


I mostly find them around the creeks here that are flowing almost all the time, they must like the moisture. It is the species I was trying to talk about in an older thread where I posted an immature carolinensis instead.
