Wierd movement with mealys

I was reading the other day that a butterfly in its crysalis and a pupated larvae are still very much aware of their surrounding so today i check on my superworms and saw that one pupated i decided to prove this theory i touches it with tweeshers and it jumped which made me litarelly jump as if i just got jumped ate by a big monster so if u have a pupated meal worm u have to try this it is so damnnnnn cool;P ;P <please stop using 10 smileys, it's annoying -MI>

Mine do that all the time. Sometimes they even respond this way to any movement around them. It still makes me jump.
