Why do crab spiders have spinnerets? I've never seen any of them ever use silk. So what's the point of crab spiders having spinnerets?

I’ve seen crab spiders frequently use them to drop down from leaves, to create shelters to hide in, molt, lay egg sacks, they use silk quite a bit

...and even if you hardly see them, if you take a closer look you will find orientation lines everywhere!

One reason why many hunting spiders have spinnerets. Acts like a drogue chute to correct both trajectory and aim.

Crab spiders have spinnerets because they are spiders. Without spinnerets and the ability to produce silk, they would be another type of arachnid.
Pragmatist. It was easy to suspect Karen had spinnerets, along with six extremities hidden somewhere. More notches on her headboard before she graduated highschool than the average Partiain hooker chalks up in a year.
