Why did my P. regius die?

I bought this female back in February I think, she was pretty slow even when I got her. A few days ago, she seemed fine and herself - ate a mealworm great! Today I went to feed her a cricket, and no reaction. She's in death curl and not moving. She has recently laid an egg sac, I think its not fertile but time will tell. I've been spraying her enclosure, she was eating great, and seemed healthy. Even though I knew she was old, why did she die so suddenly? Her abdomen is pretty shrunk even though she ate a few days ago; why is that? I have some pics too.
Thanks! IMG_20220427_113310868 (2).jpg IMG_20220427_112942524.jpg

A sunken in abdomen is a sign of dehydration, though if you got her as a WC adult it may have just been old age as well. :( I'm sorry for your loss.

Ok thank you! Lesson learned. She did eat a few days ago, I assumed she got some water from her meal but I did give her a drop or two of water a week ago when she was snapping at food and didn't want to eat. Thanks for the info, lesson learned 😭 she was pretty slow when I got her too.

Hopefully she left some babies behind. Let us know about the eggs.

Thank you 🤗 Will do, I've never raised an egg sac before, I will keep everyone posted. I hope we have some baby Ebony's on the way
