Hello,

I went into a local petshop. They had two African Fat tail geckos.

one looked like a normal fat tail gecko, like the ones i've always seen. then one had a very nice white stripe going down it's back.

is the white stripe a 'rare' morph, or is that just something that pops up from time to time?

thanks

dan

They aren't as common as the banded ones, but it's not a special morph or anything. They evidently sell for a couple dollars more, but they are still normals.

My fat tail, which I earned as partial payment for housesitting (I got cash, too!) is a striped female. She's very cute. I happen to prefer the striped fat tails, but gecko_keeper's wife prefers the banded ones!

They are not really a "special" or "rare" morph. We have plenty of both, but the strpie phase do cost a few dollars more. A word of caution, most AFT a pet stores are wild caught!! They can be fairly difficult to deworm.
If I can help any more PM me.

Thanks,
GK
