Any tips or good locations for finding wild death feigning beetles in the Colorado Springs area? I know I can find them online, but I really don't want to pay the shipping.

I actually just moved from that area. Didn't know they lived there or I definitely would have looked for some. :banghead:

I dont think any death feigners range that far north

if they do, try looking around areas with creosote buh

I lived in the Springs for years, but I never saw any death feigning beetles. Maybe check around Palmer Park, though. I've seen some pretty cool beetles around there.

I've found them where I live in Northern Utah, which is further north than Colorado Springs. My concern would be how far east Colorado is for bug collection. I suppose they can be found in New Mexico, so CO isn't much of a stretch.
