I usually was successful for the first two feedings. I last fed my Avicularia Sling on Monday. I already posted a picture. However it is thursday now..he had made his web like funnel tunnel hammock, but he has just been floating as if he is floating in the sky in it. He crawls around a couple times but it looks like he is just building more webbings.
It was easy to notice that he was hungry when he was hanging on the side of the enclosure staring down and once i dropped something he hungrily starts slurping, but now he is just floating in his web. I want to feed him but I am being patient and waiting to see the signs. Should I continue being patient or just drop a critter in?
He is a floating sling at the moment haha :D
Its nice watching him construct and reconstruct his web tearing down holes and slipping through every edge and corner. I read it was normal.
Floating sling haha

here is the best picture i got of his abdomen
Yeah it’s not fat so you’re clear for another few feedings until it’s plumper . I overfed one sling on accident , try and not do the same thing as me lol although the rest are fine . Super worms are just so fattening.

Yea I have been trying to feed him for a while now since I last fed him. He seems to be highly disinterested in the mealworms lately. Before he would just readily eat one but it was just one that i ever fed him..he happily accepted crickets before so I am going to get them today very soon to feed him. He just enjoys making a web but he has been scavenging for food and rejects the mealworms. Once I get the crickets before i pre killed them. Should I have them live for him to catch? But pre killed is better than having a hurt T sling

I feed whenever they eat, which is almost always. The only time I don't feed is when they refuse to eat (Premolt) and when they look very plump. (Avoid obesity)

They dont look very plump tbh. But they have been refusing mealworms. But still looks to scavenge but avoids mealworms I heard all Ts are picky eaters.

It can be hard to feed arboreals anything not crickets or roaches .. worms are a pain maybe pre kill them and toss them in its tube web .

I attempted to place very close to web but it seems to just have avoided tbh. And highly disinterested. I always pre killed the meal worms only had one mealworm successful feeding but he ate two crickets and fruit flies readily..so i have to get crickets today in hopes he be happy with them

and would they feel stressed out if I place it on his web? Because they can be stressed easily as ive read with food as well. If placed on his web and he doesnt touch it and i have to remove it..would it destroy his web?
