When does the Haitian Brown turn...brown?

I have only had mine a few weeks but the little guy is definately blue, and now that it has molted, rather saphirre. This is normal?

Are you talking about P. cancerides? If so, yeah, thats normal. Mine is about 3", and it's starting to turn brownish. Before that, it was almost black.

They don't really turn brown. Mine is 6" and it is black with a purple sheen and some gold hairs and gold designs on the carapace.

The blue will definatley go down, but I wouldn't say they all turn "brown" when reaching adulthood.

when i got mine at 3.5in it was brown. when it molted it was blackish-purple. its been a month since it has molted and the carapace has the bronze on it but the rest of it is now more a black/brown
