Hey Everyone

I'm interested to know,
WHAT'S YOUR TOP FIVE, MOST FAVORITE TARANTULA LIST?
With your post, please include the species name, where it comes from, whether its an arboreal, terrestrial, obligate burrower, or opportunistic burrower.
Are there any specific reasons you chose those for the top five?
Oh, and #1 is reserved only for your most absolute favorite.
Thanks

Heres my list, 5 being least favorite out of them, 1 being my fav.

#1-P. Irminia
#2-P. regalis
#3-E. pachypus
#4-L. parahybana
#5-N. chromatus

P. irminia is my favorite ebcause of it's bright colors, mild temperment, It stays in the open, it's arboreal, and gets a good size. I belive it's from venzuela (aka Venzuela "suntiger") therefore, gets my vote :D

My list would be in the following......
1. Poecilotheria metallica
2. Poecilotheria rufilata
3. Lampropelma violaceopes
4. Chilobrachys fimbriatus
5. Cyriopagopus sp. Singapore Blue

I'm a sucker for anything colorful.

I've read that the P. Irminia t's are really aggressive. Have you had any problems with yours? How old is your P. Irminia? Do you have any pictures?

OMG golda, I want a C.Cyaneopubescen really badly but I haven't been able to find one... Do you personally have one right now or was this a past t? Apparantly they spin tunnel webs, is that true?

P.murinus
H.lividium
P.irminia
C.crawshayi

I like T's with attitide and find the ones above seem to fit into that category.
I recently acquired a P.irminia who is swiftly moving towards the number one slot.

i'd say that b. annitha (or anyway the colour morph of smithi that is traded under that name), p. metallica, b. albiceps and c. spec. 'blue' are on my list, but so a a dozen more...

Something like...

C.cyaneopubescens ( need I say more? )
N.coloratovillosus ( color, attitude, eats like a pig, BIG, hairy and solid! )
E.campestratus (SUCH nice T's--too gentle for words! )
C.schioedtei ( beautiful, large, uber-advanced, nasssty bugger ! )
P.murinus "Usumbara" ( the classic "fun" spider...muahahaha:D)

Still looking forward to getting the bottom two, though. :}

Poecilotheria rufilata

Now, that list is of in the US hobby, as for not in the hobby yet, that'd be a whole nother list.

OMG, I cannot believe you have an Usumbara! I want one really bad but don't think I would be able to hand their attitude. Have you had any bad experiences with it?

Birdeaters are insane Tony! I can't believe you own one. How old is it? How big is it? What are you feeding him/her (L paraybana)?
