Myrmecophilus sp. a cricket that lives with and benefits from ants. Weird huh?

hey, it is the little orange crickets!


i have always wondered if they would be good feeders... but if they live in assoc with ants... that sounds like it might be hard to do in cap

And then there's the caterpillar of the Large Blue, numerous Ant mimicking spiders, a beetle ( don't remember the name ) and probably even more that I don't know of.

So the only thing I would like to know is how do they benefit from ants and what do the ants get in return? I don't see crickets making honeydew....
