I've done a little research, so I'll say what I plan to use as I'm not really prepared lol.

Spring tails I plan to feed rice and some nutritional yeast.

Isopods along with the wood that's in the enclosure, some egg shells for calcium, fruits/potato, and some high quality fish food.

Is there anything else essential? How often should I feed them?

I only give my springtails yeast.
Isopods get leaves and repashy bug burger/morning wood, fish food and veggies

Oatmeal does a fine job as well for the springtails. If it grows mold it should be fine for them.

What species of isopods are we talking here? I will say all species typically need rotting wood and leaves for proper development, though how much is consumed again depends on the species.

Thanks,

Springtails always show up in peat moss as well. Not sure if they're the right kind though.

Will nutritional yeast work? Or does it need to be brewers yeast?

And how often? Daily?
I use nutritional yeast for my springtails, along with green pea flour and other goodies.

baking yeast can work fine, but can be a bit more tricky if you overfeed.
