what tarrantulas are native to texas

i am going to the dallas fort worth area next week and i would like to know what tarrantulas and or scorpions live their and where to find them thanks guys!

Im not exactly sure about the DFW area, but Ill make an educated guess and say hentzi. This is the right time of year to find them, but it might take some looking up there, cause more habitat has been destroyed.

IME, looking on public lands (which are few and far between) north and east of DFW is you best bet. You shouldn't have much trouble finding A. hentzi.

You can find the "population" that Smith described as Aphonopelma gurleyi just north of Dallas.

also what smith describes as A. clarki lol but its just a hentzi lol a bit diff collor and its a new species ROTFLOL
