What kind of spider is this?

I found this guy attached to his 2.5 foot perfect web there is also 3 more of these guys on my backporch just want to know what he is and if he is harmful etc...

It's one of those nighttime orbweavers, probably female, definitely only harmful to insects.

Around here we typically call them "Barn Spiders", as they spin in open doorways, porches, or in between anything really.
