what kind of flies are these? should I worry?

hi guys,

recently, I’ve seen a lot of these flies flying around my room and especially in my scorpion’s terrarium.

any idea of what kind these are? phorids? fungus gnats? are they affecting my scorpion in any kind of way? if so, how can I get rid of them?

i honestly don’t think they r harmful, i’ve got them in my bug room as well. most likely fungus gnats i think

Those are fungus gnats which they usually feed off from fungus, mold, or prey left-overs/remains. They're not harmful but can be a bother to some people.

If they are fungus gnats (very likely), you can control them somewhat with yellow glue traps and by letting enclosures and potted plants dry out for a week at least.

I got those stupid things thanks to my gf. She likes plants. Brought some indoor plants home, now my scorpion enclosure has the dumb gnats in it.
