My Curly Hair had this mark pre molt last month. After molting, the mark was an open hole and I could see her insides. I didn't think she would make it but she did. Now I'm worried that it will happen again but be bigger this time as the mark is bigger than before. Any idea what this is from? Thanks!

Abcess cyst thingy. I've heard Brachypelma albopilosum is prone to it. What substrate are you using? Are there any rough surfaces in her enclosure?

When it molted, that scarred area stuck, causing what's known as a "wet molt"...most ts don't survive, so glad yours did, but chances are it could happen again with the next molt. I'd cut the feeding back to prevent her from getting super fat...this will increase the length of time between the next molt, which may give her a better chance to survive.

Makes me happy to see another Wisconsonite on the boards:)
