what is this spider??

I caught this spider sneaking accross my basement floor. It is winter here but I guess they spend it indoors. Is this a common house spider or is this something more like a hobo. I am wondering because in september we have a lot of hobo intruders but they are pretty large this guy is small. I forgot to mention I am in Idaho

Not a tarantula, but it looks like a wolf spider. Very common in most every part of the U.S. to my knowledge.

The carapace looks too wide to be lycosidae, though I'm not really an expert on true spiders.

Callobius has my vote. Very common up here in the Pacific NW.
