Could it be the Florida local of Scolopendra alternans aka (s. longipes) found in Florida. Near the glades

Can't be sure. Could you get a shot of the head? Then I daresay we will be able to confirm if it is a Scolopendra or not; if it is, then I presume it is indeed a S. longipes.

Check out those long terminals. How big is it? If it's like 3 inches then probably adult Rhysida longipes. Poor guy's missing a lotta legs...

My dude let it go. I don't live in Florida but he's looking for me. As Idc what kinds of pedes I get. I just want some ya know!! Haha sorry but thank you guys

Rhysida longipes. It's an invasive species in FL.
S. longipes are more maroon/light mahogany in color.
