What is this coming out of my crickets?

As I was feeding my t's this evening, I noticed something coming out of a couple of crickets back ends.. is this a nematode?

Any help is appreciated.

Nope, that would be an ovipositor. Almost all insects have them - it's how they lay their eggs. Crushing that bit will prevent females from laying eggs in your enclosures.

Do you mean the ovipositor? The black needle like thing? That's what female crickets use to lay their eggs.
