Weirdest? Probably this Snakefly, (Agulla sp.), they're just so odd looking!
Snakeflies and webspinners, seems like the smaller insect orders load up on the oddities lolWeirdest? Probably this Snakefly, (Agulla sp.), they're just so odd looking!
Actually not wasps either (not sure if you mis-typed?), they are Neuropteran, so somewhat related to lacewings and dobsonflies. That order has some weird stuff for sure!I saw a tailless scorpion once recently, very tiny, maybe half a cm or less.
But the weirdest thing I have ever seen was a Wasp MantidFly!
A praying mantid or a fly? but no it was a wasp. Looks a lot like a wasp with dark orange and yellow stripes, but it keeps its hands clasped in the prayer position. The larvae feed on spider egg sacs. Very Strange.
