I'm planning on breeding some scolopendra subsinipes in the near future and would like to get a breeding enclosure ready. and I also would like some breeding tips if possible.
Personally, what I do is introduce the male to the females enclosure. This way the female is relaxed, and gentle coaxing of the male means he shouldn't try to hide right away. All goes well he'll pick up her scent, or do so when wandering and runs into her. For spinning sites, you can use anything cave-like of your own construction. Cork bark works well, I often take out the tanks decor and use cut toilet roll tubes (as shown in pic) as it means I can witness the spinning and spermatophore drop/pickup.
I've seen others go for a seperate tank filled with rocks/wood and just introducing the pedes in there. It's up to yourself, just make sure you can get to them if anything goes wrong.
