If my T was to molt when he was borrowed underground; how would i retrieve his molt? Would i have to dig up his tunnel? Would the T be aggressive after the molt and get defensive? What would/ did you do, if you had this situation happen to you. I would like to know this info. before i buy a T. Either being an Arboreal or terrestrial.

In my experince the spider will remove the molt from it's den on it's own. Sometimes it might take a few days.

There's no need to retrieve the molt unless you really want it for some reason. If it molted underground you'll probably have to dig out out. However, sometimes obligate burrowers will do a bit of "housecleaning" and bring the molt to the surface. Others will literally tear the molt apart and incorporate it into the walls of their burrow. What species are you referring to? How large is the tarantula? If I was dealing with a sling, I'd leave it alone so as to avoid hurting it during the process of digging it out. In any case, leaving the molt in the burrow poses no problems.

In my experience most of the time they will push the molt out on there own. I have had a couple molt in their burrow and I never see a sign of the molt. They just come out bigger and shinier! Either way I wouldn't worry to much about getting to the molt. If you want to sex it you'll get your hands on one eventually.

I've seen them push molts out but my B. vagans has left hers up against the plastic in one corner so I can't retrieve it. She has taken to pooping in this same exact spot as well. I wouldn't dig up the burrow your T has worked so hard to build to retrieve something that shouldn't cause an issue in the least.
