is it only when eating, or does he come out of the cric cage like that? if the former, i'd guess it's just web, or lack of color due to it's guts being drained. if the latter, i'd guess it's mold from whatever it's eating. my crix usually cover themselves in banana. it's disgusting. whatever it is, it doesn't seem like your spider minds...
My healthy A avic. had the same goo coming out of her mouth. I don't know what it is I was worried when I first saw it thinking it was nematodes or something. She smeared it all over the sides of her tank for two days after which it went away, she then spent almost a day grooming herself. I haven't seen it since. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
