Hello all!

I originally posted this on the BTS forum but this site seems to get more traffic.

I've noticed while looking through the World Spider Catalog bibliography that a lot of taxonomic material (in German) is published in the journals "Arachnol. Anz." & "Arachnol. Mag" however I can't find a full unabbreviated journal name. What is the full title of these publications? Is there some place that carries back issues? I will be attempting to use my local library's interlibrary loan program to acquire material on Theraphosa apophysis and I'm sure the full publication title would help tremendously. Besides, these publications are a great mystery to me and I would like to know more about what they are (or were), who published them, etc.

Thanks in advance!

Found the answers to my own questions. Here's the info for anyone else that is interested.

Arachnol. Mag = Arachnologisches Magazin
The association journal of the Deutsche Arachnologische Gesellschaft e.V. (DeArGe e.V.) from 1995 - 2004. Now called "ARACHNE."

Arachnol. Anz.- Arachnologischer Anzeiger
Published from 1990 to early 1993 by Andreas Tinter. If anyone knows of where to get copies of back issues, please shoot me a message. This was all the info I could find.

Thanks for that! I've only seen the database once and totally forgot that it was there... and I was sorting through the bibliography the hard way this whole time. I'm looking for all material on the genus Theraphosa but all the PDFs are unavailable for the publications listed for it. It's alright though, I have it all on interlibrary loan request at my local library. We'll see if they can find it. The only literature I could find was the old 1800s material from archive.org. That stuff is great. It's so cool in a nostalgic sense to read the original writing of where the genus Theraphosa was placed in senior synonymy over Mygale.
