I recently saw a video (Thanks to IAB and YouTube) of a large group of 'insects' moving forward in a rather large line. They look like some sort of Caterpillar to me but I've never seen any sort of Caterpillar do this before. Do any of you know what these little guys are? Here is the first part. The second part shows the head of the line.

There are caterpillars that feed together and follow eachother to new locations, but those dont look like caterpillars to me.

Definitely fungus gnat maggots. I've seen several of their migrations in person; it's quite shocking to see them moving in a little herd! Several times, I noticed they seem to get stuck in one place because the "head" of the herd somehow finds the end, follows it, and eventually they get caught going in a circle! :}
