Not sure exactly how long, but I think roughly a month or so. Something changed and going into the sub forums loads to about 1/4 way on the loading bar then stops. Repeatedly. Same with threads.

One thing I have noticed is that when advertisements appear there is no issue. But when there is an issue there are no advertisements, possibly related to ad loading causing the loading issue?

It's gotten quite bad recently, almost impossible to use the website sometimes. One work around I found was open the link in a new tab. Then close the browser and reopen the program so it can load. This way works about half the time.

Android phone, chrome and Firefox.

Just an FYI to the admin as it's really quite bad now. to the point the website is almost unusable :(

there certainly have been longer loading times for a few months, on and off.
it has been a while since i experienced it.
i had always chalked it up to my own connection, but since there are seemingly multible unrelated reports even from very different regions it might be something different, \_(•-•)_/

yea, that worked for me too, i always made sure to have it loading in 2 or 3 different tabs and usually that allowed me to open the page

honestly compared to the ad spamming that is happening from time to time when using the phone, where one has to press the ads away 4-5 times in a row until the forum header can be accessed, it hasn't bothered me too much

Yeah, as I mentiomed in another post it happens quite regularly, in my case mostly based if it's before or after afternoon. Moving through pages during morning hours everything works fine, after a certain hour like 16:00 (4pm) quite slowly, regardless of the connection type or device.

Not sure if admins have figured it out. But ooticed something else possibly related to the loading

The maj forum index states ABC person posted yesterday. And entering the thread there are many more replies since then.

I took screenshot if admins want to see, just didn't want to waste bandwidth uploading them.

Sorry, typo. "Main forum index". It's going into the individual forums and threads where things go wonky :)

opening them all in new tabs, closing Firefox and restarting it usually works.

Ok cool. Will send some shots, can you PM me an email adress? Or do you prefer I upload here?

Recently the advertising that is full page no longer has a close option. Or an x, which is worrying and seems kind of phishy it would be allowed in various countries. After spending some time trying to figure out how to close the ads and view the website, it seems there are currently no "close" options available anymore.

Yet another workaround needed :( refreshing the page and hoping a new full page ad without the option to close doesn't appear. However I noticed when refreshing a page due to being locked in an advertisement, it stays on the page one was coming from, not the link that was pressed. Which tells us that the ads load first before the link clicked will load. Which makes it seem likely the reason the pages no longer load properly anymore is indeed due to the ads blocking the new link from opening.

if you press continue it acts the same as the (x) used to, same area too

but it is misleading or rather not clear if it would force you on the ad-page if you don't try it out

That's exactly why I think many people would never press "continue". or, at least they shouldnt given the amount of online fraud that exists today. same reason for not using random qr codes. Myself included. I think a lot of people would, rightfully, think that "continue" means continue onto the advertisers website. its standard to have an X, skip, close etc clear way of moving forward. I at least dont click random links without knowing where they go, so it seems like a pretty intentional disingenuous way of tricking people by Google. Not acceptable in my opinion.

I know that aspect isn't the boards here doing it, it's Google. But I assume the boards have a way to manage advertising as it's getting to a certain point it's just too annoying and difficult to use the forum without clicking into random webpages and getting jnes cokies and algorithms all messed up. ive tried to close the ads and gone to bra sites, german camping sites and etc. im a male that speaks english and manadarin haha.

Many forums have slowly died a slow death for similar issues :( I love this forum and the topics, but I'm not sure new members would all have the patience required to navigate around simply clicking a link to a discussion and needing to spend 5 minutes each time just to get in.

I wonder if other people have this issue on iPhone, computers etc? Or if Google ads are just a pain for Google operating systems hahaha

Edit. After posting this I pressed back to go to forum index. Got locked in another ad. Closed browser. Reopened browser. Still in the thread, not where pressing the back button should have directed. So it's for sure the ad coding that is blocking the loading of this site. And still no close option. Not even sure what this ad is about....what does Google think i am?

So the past couple days they brought the close function back. great!

Hash tag SUPPORT haha. (Pardon for the bra pics, but it was stated this is OK previously, so the screenshot should be allowed as it's less suggestive than the pevious ads were).

The only issue now is today, the lack of close buttons has reappeared. Interesting. I reported via Google the lack of availability to close ads but they made it hard. It changed immediately after. Now back to a "continue, to where?". This is (obviously intentional) poor coding and marketing. So will bring it up again. It's not cool to trick people into clicking buttons with unknown functions. This is just basic...

Again, not about this site necessarily, but the ads are certainly problematic.

The website loading is still garbage on android phones with Mozilla and chrome. Tested desktop with windows 10, similar with opera, Firefox and Chrome.

As always, just a heads up. Some people may actually care about these issues :)

OOPS. We ran into some problem instead of opening up AB happens about once every 10-20 times. By no means an indication of a prob at AB or it's server. This server I'm on is loaded to the sheer line with ad blockers and other safety devices to keep the Asian ad spam at bay.
But I suspect that some ads may interfere with the full resolve of some web sites, occasionally producing very odd results. As of 10 minutes ago my AB book mark was the above OOPS notification as the site properly loaded anyway. Very nicely weird.

yea happened to me too a couple of times yesterday, at first i thought the site was undergoing maintenance but then it was back and i ran into the same problem a couple more times that same day.

i was on the phone where i sadly lack addblockers.

edit: happened again today both with the phone and the desktop that does use addblock. Repeated "reload" spams dont change anything but 5min later it will work again.

Just a suspicion but one cause of net burps and hiccups is almost certainly behind the scenes coding and manipulation to shove ads in peoples faces. A multi-billion dollar a day industry that's only going to get worse.

It almost certainly is related to the advertising code inserts. I totally get rhe need for them, but if they block basic loading and navigation of a website then they are counter productive as any website that goes down that road dies a slow and horrible death. It's really ideal to try and figure out the issue, even if ad income might be paused for a small while. The ad income means nothung if website patrons leave due to inaccessible websites. So many of our exotic pet websites have gone down this exact path and are now extinct.

A fun fact, I reported the issue with not being able to close advertisements (as mentioned above). Wow! Google REALLY makes it HARD to report things, like PayPal illegal level hard! Out of principle I did report it twice, because its really wrong. I doubt anyone that does actually care would bother as it took an hour for F sakes...

That said, few days later, back to no close/X options and the now normal fraudulent trickery. At least we got to see pretty young girls in Bras (which I asked admin previous and is OK) . So. At least eye candy while the ad code is truly messing up the coding of this websites functionality. Glass half full :)

I doubt most new users will be willing to put up with this, so the writing is on the wall. Even with sex y female models in bras hehe

now they even made you repeat yourself, great

though that might be that other issue that causes the site to fail loading properly

but yea i see why ads are needed for funding purposes to keep up with the costs of storage etc. but it would be much less intrusive to have a dedicated field above the header that can be scrolled past then the pop ups we get right now. And often closing one only reopens another.

I hope both can be sorted out!

Back online.

Dangit, after uploading the pic an ad blocked the image upload, needed to crash the browser and reload.

I wonder, does the programming company that makes the forum software have tech support? Seems like something they would have answers to with ad plugins/inserts affecting basic webpage functionality.

The Ads have absolutely Nothing to do with the problem that is in your screenshot. It is a completely separate issue.
