Web Question

Last time I picked up my rose hair, he just left a huge string of webbing everywhere. By the time I put him down, which I did very soon after because I had no idea what was going on haha, I had several loops of web around my hands and a bunch stuck to my pants. Is this normal and why did he do this? That was just web, right? haha

It's making a line of web so it can know where it's at. Its how they sense things around them also. It's normal.

It's not even necessarily for navigation purposes. Next time you handle it, gently brush your finger against the spinnerettes and the web will come out freely. They're spiders...it's what they do. :}
