water dish?

Do you need a water dish for a Trap Door Spider?
I wasn't sure, so I put one in & now he's started his little burrow.
Just wondering if it had anything to do with that?

i just keep the soil moist, never seen him outside his burrow. so no waterdish here!

A little water dish wouldn't hurt, something like a pop bottle cap with water. Just make sure whatever you use isn't large enough or deep enough for the spider to drown in. They normally get their moisture when it rains or dews, though I imagine in the dry season they may come out at night and look for water if near a river, stream, pond or lake.
