I saw an ad on Kijiji this morning for a female A. versicolor for sale in Toronto for $150. The ad stated that she was a 10 year old female and had 'another 10 years' to go. I messaged the seller and explained to him that their lifespan is far shorter and that she might not even have two years left - let alone another 10.
I suggested that he just leave her to live out what little time she had with him, instead of stressing her out unnecessarily by rehoming her.
He replied and thanked me.
I went back and looked at the ad and he has changed the ad and is now specifying that she is only 5 years old and has lowered his price to $100. I took screenshots of both the original ad and the revised ad and will be reporting him to Kijiji.
I just wanted to post this here in case someone saw the revised ad and contacted him to buy her.
