Hello, my vinegaroon walled off her borrow about a month and a half ago. I figured she was molting and did not bother her. Over the last couple or days she has been slowly opening her burrow.

I was doing my daily maintenance on my inverts and decided to look in with a light. She has fertile egg sac. I am wondering in your experience, was my untimely intrusion enough to make her destroy the egg sac? Also, about how long do they take to hatch and ride mom? The eggs already have some visible vinegaroon characteriatics. I bred scoprions for years but this is a bit different for me because of the egg sac. Thanks!

Not a great sign that she is not burrowed in a chamber during this time, I would place her in dark room and do not disturb and make sure there is adequate moisture because the substrate looks dry. Eggs after extrusion you are looking at about 3-6 weeks, then post embryo in the sac for another 6-7weeks where they begin to develop, until first Instar after it the membrane burst, then another about 4-5weeks to i2 where they can be only separated afterwards not before after molting to second instar that is when they can all be fed.

try your hardest to make sure she is not disturbed during this period.

Thank you for your detailed response. I really appreciate it. Sadly, she ate the young. I think I accidently disturbed her while moving her.
