hey

Inktomi, we share the same joy.

Mine molted at the end of the month and I was so amazed.

Versis are really cool.

My two little ones have different personalities

One is really skitish

while the other is really mellow and slow

hows yours?

great pics by the way

have a nice day

Actually, throughout the last two molts she was a little speed demon...and JUMPED all over the place and squirted.
This is the first time I've had her out since she molted 2 days ago and she was noticably more "chill." But the slightest hint of air change from a breath or anything and she sprints.
I love the little guy.

yeah

Exactly like my Hera is, I kinda suspect she's a femme because I raised two from 1/4 slings they're the same size as yours now.

SHe usto be really mellow but now she has a paranoid problem

I think it was due to a disturbance in the period of molting

I had some friends over and they wanted too look

at my versis, they did but when my Hera was motling :(

then she got the Paranoid problem. I think its my fault.

any ways versis are so cool!

have a nice day

My avic. geroldi sling has never squirted poop, but he likes to jump, and gallop around his delicup like an eight-legged pony.

Avics are such loveable spazzes as slings!

Is she a good eater? Can you feed her with tweezers? How does she like her food - dead or alive?

Sorry for all the questions - very pretty girl!

She eats live and catches it all on her own. I've fed her like that since she was 1/4". (maybe a little bigger than that, actually) And she eats very well. Doesn't stop until imminent molt.

Great pics, mine is about 1" right now so after its next molt it should be a good size like that one. Unfortuantely due to the web mine has built I cant get any pics of her at this size and I would pick it up but I dont think i could get her out of her web without destroying it so Im going to leave her alone until her next molt at which time I will snap some pics.

peace

Great spider.........

That looks almost just like mine. Same size too. Except mine has a brighter blue on the opisthosoma, but I have not noticed any red yet. Different bloodline, I bet. Don't you love that green sparkle on the carapace?:D

Not a great pic

.....not even a very good one but my little Versi also just molted for the first time since I've had it. Right now it is a very shiny blue that you can't really see in the cheesey pic.

@inktomi, how old is your versi?

I have had one since March and it still hasn't hit the one inch mark. I got L. cristata and G. aureostriata at the same time and they are at least double the size of my versicolor. I think that this is definately the slowest growing spider that I have owned.

Are all avics this way?

Jon
