Hey, does anybody had or has any experience keeping these strange creatures or even seen one beeing offerd for sale?

I know that they were some NEw-Sealand species on the market a couple of years ago, but that they only live for about a 6 months.

I can use all the info i can get

I'm really getting excited about these velvetworms

I can't help you find one, but I'm also facinated. They're thought to be the missing link between segmented worms and arthropods! Truly, a living fossil. They are in a phylum by themselves.

Yeah, i know, fascinating creatures aren't they?

have you already read something about their attacking skilz?
They spray a kind of glue onto crickets or other invertables to catch their pray.

I know a guy from Denmark who had a couple of New zealand velvetworms, but they only survived 6 months :( he saw them breeding but he didn't got any little worms (that was about 5 years ago he told me, since then i never saw one anymore!

i did a little searching a while back, and was unable to find any info at all on buying some. of course, that's here in the states.
i remember seeing one on discovery and nearly breaking my jaw on the floor. it was stunning!
