I bought a UV/Blacklight so that I could see the glow of my recently acquired scorpion. I've learned recently that these same lights can harm reptiles and I'm curious if that is true for scorpions too. Any guesses?
I always heard that it was like getting a really bad sunburn. I only black light when I'm out hunting or if I want to find one of my little guys in there cage... other then that they get natural light.
It's harmful in large doses and shouldn't be used as regular lighting, but a burst every once in a while won't harm it. Scorpions don't need any lighting at all.
