Just got this lady today, never had this species before and the owner mentioned she was possibly gravid. She does look on the chunky side and apparently was only fed once a week.
She’s definitely chunky. I suppose she could be gravid. I’ve never kept this species but I’ve had others that have looked as fat and weren’t gravid. Time will tell.
I've bred these for a few years now, imho it's probs not gravid and if so it will probably be a while yet (6 months +), it just looks well fed atm.
These guys are calm enough to just scoop up, just letting you know that when you pick it up by the sting, it crushes the setae (hairs) which are used as a sensory organ.
