I got my new red eyed tree frog 9 days ago. When I got him he was slim. He's the size of every other red eyed tree frog I've seen on youtube or google images. This a picture of him from a few days ago. Is this a bit large for a red eyed tree frog? If so, how can I fix it?

How much has it eaten in those nine days?
In the typical resting posture, tree frogs seem a bit chunkier. How does it look when moving around?
If you bought a frog that was a bit on the slim side, and it ate well over nine days, it could seem big to you now.
Any other concerns or signs of problems?
I honestly would not be too concerned, but keep an eye on ot.

I've feed him about 6-7 time times since I got him. The first night I just let him settle in. I gave him one cricket, about medium sized, the next night, he loves to eat. :D Then I read some article that said something like 12-16 a week!!! So I gave him 2 that night. Ever since he's been on the large side. I was originally planning on giving him 1 a day. I cut back on his food to every other day for the rest of the time I've had him. No big results. -.- I'm really confused on their feeding basis, could you give me some pointers?

Unless I am really missing someting, that frog looks fine. Got any pictures when it is awake and active?
I have not kept red-eyes, but every other amphibian, with one or two exceptions, got fed every 2-3 days.
Don't be too worried. A frog takes a while to eat to the point of obesity, and an active species takes even longer. Honestly, eating too much is about the last thing I would ever worry about. If your parameters and husbandry are good, get a good feeding routine, and everything will be fine.
Now relax, and enjoy your frog.
