A couple months ago some of you helped me get on the right track with my little Avic. Two days ago she had "her" first successful molt with us and seems to be doing really well. Although i think she has outgrown her delicup. "she" will be getting a rehouse next week. 15747532_1366268430084769_2644052070641951522_n.jpg 15727075_1366268450084767_8714560754119091507_n.jpg 15698247_1366268403418105_5848576160336719973_n.jpg

Awesome. Glad she is growing well for you. At her size, I'd give her a few weeks from the molt to make sure she has finished hardening up before the rehousing. If she hasn't she could be damaged while you are trying to move her.

What are you looking at for her new enclosure? I like to set them up in advance so they are ready to go when I want to do the move.

its just a 32 oz container. Im drying out the substrate right now, just to have it ready. I will for sure set it up beforehand so i can make sure the enclosure is ok before i move her. Ill post some pics of the container in just a few. I have no problem waiting a few weeks if need be, i want the move to go as smoothly as possible. :) Thanks again guys for all your help.

Have you looked at these boxes?

I use them a lot for my Avics and they have worked really well for me. It makes it easy to see your T as well.
Here is how I set it up.

Here it is after the Avic has web funneled it up.

I do on the small boxes. On the bigger ones I drill two holes though the back. Then I run a wire through the holes and wrap it to hold the back in place.

Edit: Here is the back of my P.cam enclosure with the wired back piece. I can remove it if I want to turn this enclosure into a terrestrial enclosure later. The new enclosures I made are set up the same way.

The leaves are hot glued in place directly to the walls.

What is the minimum size T you would put in those. I have like 2 p ornata and 3 lampropela sp borneo black slings.

I wouldn't use these for pokies personally. All the pokies I have owned have liked to run down to hide when spooked which would be out the bottom opening. I like these for Avics and other arboreal Ts up to 4.5-5 inches max. I keep my pokies in 32 oz deli cups till they get about the same size and then move them into these enclosures modified to open in the middle. Some might have to get bigger enclosures when they get close to their largest sizes but they should do for most arboreal Ts.
