Well unfortunately being an American I R DUMB when it comes to European spiders. But those are nice pics, I really like the one of the Salticidae closeup on the eyes.

Glad you like the pics!

Even though the spiders are from Europe, most of them (about 90% of mine) occur in North America as well. So it's not impossible for Americans/Canadians to identify some of the spiders.

How do get them to stay somewhat still?

You chill them down some (slowing them down) before arranging them in a scene?
Or do you just take a large amount of images?

No chilling! Most spiders run for a few seconds and then stand still for a few seconds. Then you can take a photo. Some spiders can run for minutes before they stop, but most spiders take breaks. For some active species you have to take a lot of shots. Thats not a big problem when using digital cameras.
I put the spiders in a white china bowl from which most can't escape. Take a look at the last photo on this page:
