Hi, I found a small Drasodes lapidosus last night, and I was wanting to know more about their care.

• Are they arboreal, fossorial or terrestrial?
•How big do they get?
•Are they easy to sex?
•How long do they live? (I've been given conflicting info on this)
•Do they like it dry or moist?

Thanks!

They are terrestrial from what I am reading. They like to live in or around stone. Supposedly they can really be found anywhere in the Southern half of Britain where they can hide so I am willing to be they can live on a rather diverse array of places easily. I'd leave one half of the substrate slightly moist. They don't get over an inch in length. Commonly, for "true spiders" the rule of lifespan is 1-2 years for a healthy female and even shorter for males. I wouldn't expect it to survive till next year. Give it plenty to hide under. Mist lightly or maybe use a water dish if you have one small enough. I am not from anywhere near the UK I just google the species name and came up with some of this info. Other bits are based on personal exp keep TS's. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress with the specimen!
