So I have about 30 Turkistan roaches in a good sized Rubbermaid with egg carton flats. I keep tempatures at 85 degrees and high humidity. But they don't seem to eat. I've tried cricket food, dog food, bread, fresh greens and fruit But they don't seem to touch any of it, not even a nibble. I'm just concerned for the colonies health because I really want them to breed. Any thoughts?

When I had less than 100 adult dubias, I was sure they weren't eating. I think it's just not noticeable until you have many.

Yeah, they are probably eating, you just can't notice it because there are so few. :)

You can tell how healthy they are by the plumpness of their abdomens - so long as they're not paper thin they're eating.

Wait until you have a larger colony of them and then you'll really see them blow past the food. I have a colony of 10,000+ and they can eat a loaf of bread every day if I let them. They also attempt to eat me if I put my hand in and hold it still for 5 seconds.
