Tomato and Tobacco Moth host nectar flowers

Will the moths of these caterpillars feed from ANY flower or flowering bush/tree, or are they picky and only feed from certain types of flowers?

Around here there are dozens of these in the spring:

dandelions,lillies,marigolds,impatients,petunias,iris,geraniums,flowering cherry and apple tree.

Sphinx moths seem to love petunias, especially white ones. I have also seen them nectar from jasmine, honeysuckle and escallonia.
