I need feeding hints for one. I may be getting it tomorrow and am not sure on how often these are fed.Is it daily? Also how do you know if you are over feeding? Thanks!

It depends on the age and size of the Gecko....also depends on how healthy it is.

Offer it food every day until it puts some weight on.....most Tokays out there don't get fed nearly enough due to the condition of WC imports and most people just assuming they are supposed to be skinny.

Amen brothers. A fat gecko is a healthy gecko. Keep an eye on the tail thinkness for fat storage.

Tokays in general tend to be pigs and the large size they reach opens up the door for larger prey items as well. In general, use various feeder insects and as they get larger, you can try pinky/fuzzy mice as well. Be sure to use tongs, these guys are pretty but many are they angry! I've seen one tame individual in all my days of keeping, then I saw how ripped up the guy was that gradually tamed it! LOL

Definitely keep an eye on it though because unfortunately, most Tokays are WC imports and can have issues with internal parasites etc.

Watch those fingers and enjoy!
