Noob Alert
We have tiny mites in our T enclosures!! We have 14 T'S and a tiny 1in. Gigas millipede. I'm mostly worried about the millipede. We can't put anything in the freezer unfortunately or bake anything. Fml. Carnivorous mites take too long to arrive. We purchased some isopods for later on when we get this under control. I've read putting the TS on calcium carbonate sand?? Couldn't find that. Can I keep them on ground English walnut shell sand for the time being while we clear out their enclosures??? Please help.

Well mites and AGBs are like coffee and sugar. I believe they have a symbiotic relationship.

If the mite problem is really bad rehouse the Ts. I would stay away from walnut shell. Just use topsoil or eco earth. Keep the sub dry and give everyone a water dish. Mites like moisture so if you keep it on the dry side they will die off. If it's not real bad. Just let the enclosures dry out and keep clean water in their dishes.
