This is Jezzabel my black widow my g/f gave me last Nov. I decided to give her a nice large din din for a lil while. This is a nice 3 in. roach. dont rem the species. Caught it out side here. Ive fed her all things from outside since i got her so no worries.

Did you get her from captivity or was she wild caught? You know, everything outside has a certain amount of pesticides in it - it's just the world we live in.

she is wild caught. She has lived off outside things for a few months now so she is fine and healthy.

i love widows. off all my pets, i think they eat the widest range of prey and can take the largest in proportion of themselves.

in fact, they are the only bugs i have they have eaten these local "rock beetles"... they are either "ironclad" or "death-feigning" beetles for their more "real" common name.

my 4" Sphrodomantis couldn't figure them out... but widows figure out you have to kiss them on the bend of a joint and then it's a rock bug snack :)
