Tiny flies in P. laevis colony?

Hey folks! So I have a small milkback+springtail population in a well ventilated, half dry/half moist enclosure and starting a few days ago every time I open the enclosure I find a good amount of tiny flies. Then yesterday I put it a bolus for the critters and today the bolus was covered in what I assume were maggots. Is there a mistake I made that allowed the flies to get in there? Also, is the population salvageable? Thank you kindly!

It happens.

1. Get a sticky fruit fly traps, it works well.
2. Spot clean after feedings.
