Female Cyriopagopus thorelli pet-trade.
She's a hard one to get really good pics of. She will not stop doing this. You could wait for hours. This species is one of my favorites. Get one, and you'll become attached to it, and they, you.

Where's all the asian specialists?
What do you guys think about this species ID'd as
Cyriopagopus schioedtei? Can we start naming it this?
Even better; How 'bout transferred to genus
Phormingochilus? (I've read something, somewhere)

Beautiful spider!

I dig the leg-warmer look and the spread chelicerae. Where did you read up on the classification debate?

LaRiz, I love these tarantulas.

You will find an interesting discussion on C "thorelli" here

Nice T. Did you take the pic with her in the cage? Looks like like real nature backround. Can you post a pic of the whole cage? I would love to look at it and I need ideas for my cages :D

Lopez,
Thanks very much for the link. I've heard the same discussions regarding this species in the past, but I think Soren's post was what I was looking for, and answered alot of questions I had. I appreciate it.
This is my favorite species, keeping them since they were first imported into the US. I've had the pleasure and fortune to breed this species twice. They are a pleasure to work with.

Ah, did you take her outside for that picture? Yes, I love this species and have three of them total. Two of them I got from John, and he is right they will grow on you. Just got to love their attitude:D

John.
Glad it was of some use. :)
It seems the whole Cyriopagopus genus is under some debate (hmmm...sounds like most Asian species)
I hope to pick up a spiderling at the BTS show next weekend - I've not seen these on sale in the UK myself.

Becky,
I have a whole room dedicated to just this species. That's the room in the pic. It's set up like a riverbank, complete with mosses and ferns.
Since I have a bunch in there, they've made their own bank of burrows, and pretty much set up where they wanted to. Some went up, and some burrowed. There's automated misters to simulate rain, and skylight windows for a more natural day/night cycle. You should see when I throw a male in there. All the females come to their burrow entrances, to see who's knockin'.
Yeah, I wish :D
Seriously, I did take this girl to the park for a more natural type pic, but the sun wasn't very cooperative.
But wouldn't it be cool to have a huge set up like that :)

Ever see that Geico commercial, with the girl and the gecko holding hands and spinning around in a meadow? It was sort of like that, only with alot more discomfort and swelling. Lots of blood, too.
Ouch, ouch, ouch, yeouch!

I specialize in the Asian Species Lariz

Lariz, I would say that I myself rather specialize in the Asian species as these spiders hold the most appeal to me.I like their general overall appearance as it is more "Spidery" than the New World species.I have become quite skilled at keeping the delicate Asians alive - right now I have three Chinese Earthtigers (Haplopelma schmidti ) two Haplopelma minax , two Haplopelma lividum , three Haplopelma longipedum and one Haplopelma albostriatum.I also have two Chilobrachys burmensis as well.I have learned thru experience that these spiders do best in warm humid conditions and I have a whole section of my invert room set up with heat lamps and misters to duplicate their natural enviroment and conditions. These spiders are always aggressive and quick to rear up into defensive threat postures.I myself have yet to obtain a C.thorelli but if I could find a decent subadult female I would love to get one.As far as the taxonomy of the asian species goes I must admit that I am not an expert in this field...it is very complex from what I have seen so far.But I have become very skilled with the hot asian species as far as husbandry goes.

Spider Hunter,
Thanks for the advice, though I have been known to keep asians alive ;)
I was really looking for legit info on taxonomic relationships between the Cyriopagopus sp. (schiodtei, thorelli) and, if any, between Phormingochilus sp. (everetti?).

Unfortunately it seems the experts are just as undecided as the pet trade ;)
Apparently Volker is working on the subject, but he is very busy. It would appear there will be a great number of large changes within the field of classification of Asians (tarantulas that is ;))

Personally, with the BTS show looming I'm on the hunt for every Asian species I can find. I'm utterly captivated by the behaviour of my C fimbriatus - so different to New Worlders, and the tarantulas of Africa.
