The last of October, my Black Widow laid an eggsac. I thought by now they should've hatched. I've had Black Widows that lay unfertilzed eggs and thought this was one, too. Before throwing it out I decided to break it open and much to my suprise babies come pouring out. Never had this happen before.

the eggsac was probably just about to hatch before you cut it open (i assume, if babies came pouring out).

also, as an aside: whereas other Latro species will commonly lay 'dud' sacs, our NA blacks hardly ever do this. if they do, it is pretty rare. more commonly what happens is that the keeper doesn't provide the right conditions or care for the sac, and the slings all die while in the sac, before ever reaching "first instar" (if you know what i mean- the molt inside the sac). i made that mistake when first starting out.
