Some of yall never see your T's drinking water...so what did I do to help you guys/ gals out?...I got pictures of my GBB (Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens) drinking some water...this is rare still footage because I usually NEVER see my T's near their water bowls:

ive started putting water in my cages again. i figure i would rather put it in and they not use it then make them do without. it really isnt that much work to keep them watered.

We give water dishes to all of our adult tarantulas, but not juveniles and spiderlings and they are completely healthy. IME if you keep the humidity in the substrate at the optimal level, a tarantula will not need a water dish. Frankly, it is rare for a tarantula in the wild to have access to open water (especially true desert species), so they depend more on ambient humidity inside of their hides/burrows.
